Our Grand Challenge scientists at the National Physical Laboratory are using their expertise in measurement to draw a new map of cancer. They’re measuring thousands of chemical inside tumours to see how they help a cancer grow. By creating a map of what they find, the team, led by Professor Josephine Bunch, aims to find new ways to diagnose, treat and monitor cancer.
